The FirstSpirit WCMS simplifies the creation of highly integrated pages and offers flexible navigation, allowing users to find their way around the website quickly and intuitively.
Content is organized by topic rather than by organizational unit.
This includes a modern design, optimized display on mobile devices, and guaranteed accessibility.
LMU's internationalization goal is supported by a 1:1 language switch between German and English-language content.

The FirstSpirit WCMS is hosted in the cloud by Crownpeak, which manages and maintains the technical infrastructure.

LMU’s infrastructure is managed by Department VI.5 Internet Services and is continuously being developed to meet the needs of LMU’s editors.

FirstSpirit is divided into individual projects, which are technically supported in collaboration with Department VI.5 Internet Services and the project administrators of the respective departments. More information on this can be found under Web project structure.

Project administrators and editors receive support from the central support team for their work in the FirstSpirit.

The content and editorial management of the individual websites are handled by editors from the respective institutions.

Coordination is handled by the site or project coordination, in consultation with Press and Communications as needed.
